Arts & Letters

The National Commission of Arts & Letters (CAL), Inc. (DST) was established in 1973 by Delta Sigma Theta’s 15th National President, Lillian P. Benbow.  Its two-fold mission is to stimulate interest and educate chapters in the different areas of the arts.  While developing and coordinating cultural programs and projects approved by the National Executive Board.  The committee is dedicated to preserving the goals of the National Commission on Arts & Letters, highlighting the contributions of African Americans.
