2021 Scholarship Application

S C H O L A R S H I P    G U I D E L I N E S

 

Scholarships are awarded to New Orleans area high school seniors who plan to attend Delgado Community College, Dillard University, Loyola University, Southern University at New Orleans, Tulane University, University of New Orleans or Xavier University of Louisiana.

 

The following completed documents must be uploaded with the 2021 DSTNOA Scholarship Application.

 

  • Two (2) letters of recommendation (example: counselor, teacher, administrator, etc.)

  • Official transcript of coursework completed, including the cumulative GPA

  • Copy of parent/guardian 2019 Form W-2 (Wage and Tax Statement)

  • 2 most recent check stubs – with Social Security Numbers removed.

 

The applications cycle opens November 1, 2020 and ends April 30, 2021 at 11:59pm CST.

 

Due to the anticipated high volume of applicants, it is strongly recommended that you submit your letters of recommendation and complete your application as soon as possible.

 

Upon completion of initial screening, selected applicants will be contacted for a personal interview. The virtual interviews wil; be held in May 2021. Winners will be notified by June 30, 2021.

2021 Public Service Award

EXTENDED DEADLINE 4/30/2021

Nominations for the 2021 Public Service Award are now open! Applications will be accepted through Friday, April 30, 2021.

 

Requirements for nominees are as follows: 

 

  • Exhibited leadership in the community

  • Not a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

  • Volunteered community services unselfishly without any anticipation of monetary or acknowledgeable recognition

  • Participated in civic affairs

  • Participated in religious affairs

  • Participated in community affairs in our city 

  • Promoted good relationship regardless of race, color, or creed in the greater New Orleans area  

  • Advocated harmonious relationship in community affairs
